So a week ago, the boys and I had a little sleepover visit with Doug, Angela, Porter, and Sophia. It had been a while since our boys had seen each other, and boy did they have fun when we got together! Their new swing set was a hit; they brought the hose over and made a water slide out of it. But it is a given - they always end up in the mud somehow (even when there is only a little patch of dirt in their backyard!). They were in heaven making a mud bath and then bathing in it. Tanner kept up with Kyle and Jordan and Porter until that mud bath business, then he had to check out and grab a little pizza. I am glad Tanner can't tolerate mud smeared all over his body. It makes my job just a little bit easier. But actually, it was really fun watching those boys in pure delight playing together, doing what they love the most. I couldn't help myself. I love it when my boys are having so much fun.
After the backyard play, we settled down to a movie and popcorn - so cozy! And to top the night off, we splurged on a cinnamon roll from a can (little doughy, yet satisfying). Surprisingly, the boys slept the night through and were ready for a fun Saturday with a soccer game. It was a terrific visit and I kick myself for not doing it more often before we move - that is if Angela and Doug would've had us! What wonderful friends they have been and we will miss them terribly. I wonder when Kyle and Jordan can fly on their own? It would be nice to fly them out to play with their Mud Buddy, Porter!
