Highlights

I remember in a sacrament meeting a year ago, Steven M* suggested we be like those end of the year TV programs that give highlights, funniest moments, craziest events, etc of the year. He suggested we create our own lists for our lives that year. I did make a highlight, achievements, and challenges list of 2005 and put it in my journal. I have had fun these last few days doing it again for 2006. I agree with Steven M* and recommed making a list for yourself. It is great fun to see what you've experienced, accomplished, and overcome in the last year. And it leads right into a New Year's Goal setting session. It is exciting for me to think, "What have I done in my life and what do I want to do in the future?"

That's a good idea of Steven's. I was also thinking today in church (as Mindy taught the lesson) of making a list of the blessings I received this year, so I can try to conceive how truly blessed I am. It's a good time to reflect back, isn't it.

I should do this. I hope I can get myself in the mood to do it. I wish I was as good an historian as my daughters!

Thanks Audra, I'm flattered you remembered. I hope the list does you good. I'm afraid if I did mine this year, I'd most likely be ashamed. I'll probably do it anyway and find it's a little better than I expect.
