Different Ways For the Same Result

Mike and I take turns getting the boys ready for school and the other one can sleep in. He takes advantage of the sleep in, but I don't as much. Here is why:

Audra's schedule
5:47 am - the alarm goes off and I snooze it.
5:56 am - the alarm goes off and I snooze it again.
6:05 am - the alarm goes off and I get up and turn it off and get the boys ready for school
6:40 am - get in the car and drive to the front of our apartment complex
6:44 am -the bus comes and I send the boys off to school
I stick to this schedule religiously!

Mike's schedule
5:47 am - the alarm goes off and he snoozes it many times
after 6:15 am -he may get up and get the boys ready in a mad rush and take them to the bus stop OR he may set the alarm for a different time and decide to drive the boys to school himself
New alarm clock time - he snoozes it
???am he finally gets up and gets the boys ready in a mad rush and drives them to school

Either way, he gets the boys ready in a mad rush. He always pushes it to the limit to where he must get up and must be fast in getting them ready. Ahhhh! It worries me and I can't sleep in! But, as he has pointed out to me after my little comments, they always make it to school on time. They've never been late. So we may do it different, but it gets the same result - the boys do make it to school on time.

I think that is so interesting! I find learning about how people live fascinating. (Which is probably why I love reading blogs).

that was cute! What is it they say... two ways to skin a cat? I always have a hard time sleeping in when Dave is up in the am helping the girls, because the don't leave me alone! Even when he has a day off, he gets out of bed somewhere in the hour of seven, so I take full advantage, if I can... every once in a while it works (the sleeping in part) (o:

my lovely neal gets audrey off to school every morning. it's so great. often, miles and i are up, too, but we can peacefully sit on the couch while neal does the hard work (her hair). lucky parker is the only one who gets a guaranteed sleep-in.
i wish audrey could play with your boys! i have the cutest picture of them all in a tree at UT housing. your silly boys and my silly girl.
how's your cousin's husband doing?

Very true Audge! I think that is why we are mothers... we worry too much, don't we? But I guess ya just gotta learn to trust that Mike will get them there on time .:.)

I am not the best at seeing that yes, Jay can do things differently and they still go through great - thanks for the reminder - I just need to relax, right? :D

I can't believe how EARLY you have to have your kids on the bus. I'm not only impressed that you can get moving that early, but that you can you get your boys moving too!

I like natalie needed a reminder that things can be done differently than I do them and it ok. I am so into my own routine sometimes that I try to push it on to my husband, but he never lets me down! I have a hard time sleeping in because I worry about things getting done, I know I need to relax! Thanks for the inspiration.
