I Missed You Too, Boys

I got Mike Cirque du Soleil tickets for Christmas. A perfect gift, by the way, because then I got to enjoy it also! We saw the show last night and now I feel the urge to swing and spin from chandeliers. These performers were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed it! A big thank you to Jessi and Dave for watching our monkeys all evening, all night, and all morning! And speaking of amazing people, listen to what they did. Jessi committed to watching our boys overnight. Dave committed to watching his sister's kids overnight. It was the same night people. They had 10 kids (under the age of 8) at their house from 4 pm in the afternoon until 10 the next morning. Well, I came to help at 10 am, but we still had 10 kids at the home until the evening. Crazy! But of course Jessi and Dave were totally capable and my boys absolutely loved it. Like I said, I arrived at 10 in the morning. I saw Jordan first and said, very enthusiastically (you know the feeling you have for your kids when you have been away from them for a while), "Hey, Jordan!" He immediately responded, "I don't want to leave." I assured him we wouldn't leave for a while. I went into the house and saw Tanner on the couch. I said, "Hey, Tanner!" He did smile but then said, "Where's dad?" Alright. Maybe Kyle would be happy to see me. I saw him and said, "Hey, Kyle! How was your night?" He said, "Great. I need to go to the bathroom." So I didn't get too much love from my boys this morning. But I do know they love me. I just know it!

Ok WOW! I have to say you have one amazing sister and brother-in-law! You owe her! ;) That is so kind and loving and fabulous! What a great night you and Mike had together! I am so glad you got a night off! I was kind of wondering why Jessi had not written in her blog lately... Now I get it! So has been one crazy woman and now I am sure she is recuperating (sp?)from the big night!

what a great experience! I want to see Cirque SOOO bad - every time we drive through Vegas, I am reminded that they have like three shows there. Haymonds saw Cavalia and loved it.
So awesome that y'all could leave the boys over night - again, SO jealous!

Audra your boys love you like crazy! It's a blessing that your boys love their aunt and uncles house too. I'm glad you got a night off, and I hope you get many more... sounds like it could be babysitting swap at it's best!

Your boys are just so independent--they have grown up so fast! I've always wanted to see Cirque de Soleil, but KC doesn't want to--darn! Maybe I can convince him someday. Nice sister and brother you've got there too!
