Ok, here is another quote. Sometimes I can't quite tell if something my boy has said is really funny, or I think it is really funny because I am the mom! Anyway, I mainly want to share this with my family, so sorry if you are sick of C* boy quotes!
Tanner is getting a little bit of a potty mouth. He thinks it is so funny to say "poop, pee, or stupid" in his conversations. When he gets mad, he shouts or says under his breath, "stupid!" Today Mike decided to set up a consequence when he says those words (before it gets worse). The consequence is Tabasco sauce, the same thing he had as a child. He has used it on Kyle and Jordan and today was the first time he used it on Tanner. Tanner is already extremely sensitive to hot or spicy foods so you can imagine his reaction to the Tabasco sauce. He HATED it! He screamed and cried for a very long time, begging for water. We made him wait just a little bit, but then we gave him water and other foods to help it go away. After he had calmed down a bit, he said to me, "I can blow fire, mom. Put a marshmallow on a stick. I can blow fire on it."
Later that day, "stupid" slipped out of his mouth again and I said, "What did you say?" He immediately replied, "Sorry." We'll see if he says it again! If he is really smart, he will figure out that mom never gives Tabasco sauce. I just can't get myself to do it after seeing their reactions! Mom will teach them and Dad will lay down the line.

Audra... my stitches are coming out I'm laughing so hard! Your boys are the cutest. I tried to employ the Tabasco sauce tactic at our house for sassiness from Hannah... but David debunked it... he's the nice one, I guess! (My mom did that when we were kids too... and broke many a wooden spoon, but we weren't traumatized by it (they were wimpy wooden spoons!) I hope you are feeling better soon! I sure miss ya!
Yes, that's funny!!! (Of course I may be a biased aunt). And I love that picture of Tanner. It is a perfect illustration for that story.
That is really funny!! :) Great idea with the tabasco sauce. I am not quite sure I could do it either, but I think that Jake could in a second! lol. It is funny because everytime we say "stupid" in a conversation or something Daxton will say, "OH... BAD WORD! YOU NO SAY STUPID!!" Jake and I will be a in conversation just the two of us and he will overhear the word and he gets sooo upset with us. I think the words we need to work on the most is the poo poo and pee pee thing. I think I am about to lose it with it! It is outta control most of the time!

I love it! My friend would use vinegar. I'm pretty sure either one would do the trick.
