Since our apartment is surrounded by woods, we have many birds flying around. I step outside and hear them all singing and chirping. We have bushes and a tree right outside our porch window and the birds frequently come to say hello to us. I love all birds, but my very favorite is the cardinal, all bold and beautiful with its red feathers. The boys know that and whenever they see a cardinal, they come run to tell me. I like to see that they share my excitement! I recently read a book where there was no color at all. The people saw only black and white and shades of grey. What a terrible and sad thought. I am so thankful for color and I am so thankful for my cardinals!

Watching nature interact brings me such calm. And I, too, love cardinals. Of course! They are red!
I love spring and the sounds of birds chirping! And I am so happy you get to live so close to nature (and beautiful cardinals!) so you can really enjoy spring!
This must run in the family because I LOVE to see birds too. I have a friend who does bird watching, and I am going to have her help me get started. I just wish they came around more often. I will look into setting up a bird feeder so more will come around.
