My Mother's Talent, Her Beautiful Home

No matter where my mom lives or how much money she has, she always beautifies her surroundings. She has amazing decorating skills (one of her many talents). Mom, will you help your clueless daughter when she finally buys a home (I am talking about me, not you Abbi. Oh wait, you already have a home once you get married to that doctor of yours. Absolutely no fair!)? My mom and dad are blessed with a big and beautiful home! They haven't always had so much, but it didn't matter. My mom always created a cozy home, and her children benefited most of all. Holidays are extra special! Christmas is a winter wonderland! I just love being in her home. And yes, John, I am sure you can visit them if you visit Oregon. They will feed you yummy desserts as you watch sports in their little theater room. You do like sports, don't you? And are you still on that no sugar, no nothing diet?

I must add that it is the extremely hard work of my father that made it possible for them to have a home like this. Dad, I can't believe how hard of a worker you are. How do you do it all?

Their home nestled in the Oregon trees.

They have a spectacular view of the city from their front yard.

My mom calls this her "summer fireplace" - candle holders in the fireplace

The "water feature" in their backyard. You hear it when inside the home and it makes you feel like you are at your own little resort.

The one flower you can have in your yard in this part of Oregon are daffodils. The deer don't eat them. So my mom worked hard at planting many daffodils in her front yard.

Thanks again for letting me come and relax in your amazing home! A little heaven on earth.

I will pretty much be up there this weekend . . . and stay a couple of months. You had me at theater room, even before looking at the outside pictures.
I quit that no sugar diet thing after about a week and after Mindy was killing us in the weight loss competition - which wasn't fair by the way. She always wins.

Thanks for all the compliments! Although they are overly generous, I enjoyed every word! Thanks again for taking all these wonderful pictures! I'd been wanting to do that for a long time. Let's start planning your next visit!

Very Beautiful! They sure do have A LOT of home with only them to fill it. That just means that children & grandchildren need to fill it more often! Awesome pictures Audra!!! Glad your vacation was nice. I am still waiting to hear about what you did... ??
