We close on our house tomorrow. I am scared. Why is it that I have waited years to be in a home and now the time has come and I am scared to move in there?
Actually, I know why. It is a beautifully well kept home and now we are going to move in there and destroy it! No matter how hard I try to stop them, my boys find some way of breaking things down. But I guess that is true of all kids. Life goes on.
And I am a little worried about all the responsibility associated with owning your own home. It does cost a lot of money! It is a lot of work!
But still, everyone is telling me that when we get into our home, I will absolutley love it. I just need to get over this buyer's anxiety. I never thought I'd actually have it!

I totally can relate. I am nervous as well! I am so excited for you though Audra! We will close exactly one week after you! :) I can't wait! And I can NOT wait to see pics of this new home of yours!!!

i felt the same way before we bought our home. i had nightmares of my kids jumping over the balcony and breaking their necks... and knocking holes in the wall and everything of the sort...
but it is fun, and you will LOVE having freedom to decorate/paint and do whatever you want!
Call it a practice house, and keep in mind that everything replaceable. It's just stuff.
I can't wait to see pictures too! I know what you mean about your boys breaking things - mine are the same. It doesn't matter, it just matters that you are happy there.
