I Didn't Wait For Nothing

When we moved to Texas from Utah so Mike could go to PA school, we had two kids already. I thought it sure would be nice if we could find a three bedroom apartment, but a two bedroom was what we could afford. It was fine for our family of four and I knew I could wait for a bigger home later. Then Tanner came along. I thought that we could find a three bedroom apartment at that time, but the answer again was to wait. I waited until Mike graduated from PA school and got an official job. I thought for sure we'd be able to move into a home at that time and be a lot more comfortable. We tried! We looked for a home. We looked at three bedroom townhomes. We even looked at three bedroom apartments, and nothing came together for us. The answer again was to wait. We were a family of five in a two bedroom apartment and I didn't want to wait anymore, but that was my answer! And then we decided to move to Georgia and I knew then it was time to get into something bigger. After living in a two bedroom apartment for four years I was ready for my home! But....Mike was set on renting an apartment while we got to know the area. He didn't want to be rushed into buying, and I saw the wisdom in that so I waited again for a home. I do love the apartment we have been in - it has three bedrooms! It has been so great for us! But it is finally time for us to be in a home. We found the home for us, and it was well worth the wait! Here is my project for the next ten years or so - decorate and fill this home with furniture that I love!

So here are the before pictures of our house. Like I said, over the next ten years or so, I can post after pictures of how I have painted and decorated it! It will definitely take a while because we are starting with nothing. But I like that. A clean slate. This process will be so fun!

Awesome!! It is beautiful Audra! You are lucky the paint is not too radical and everything is beautiful and clean! Ours was not anything next to being clean and the paint throughout the WHOLE home was outta control, we are having to paint EVERYTHING!!! Although, it has been fun to do it together as a family. It will be so nice for you! I am happy for you!! See ya next week dearest
