Mr. Sanitation

I sent Mike to pick up a couple of presents for Tanner's birthday. Tanner, not knowing the reason for the trip, insisted that he tag along with his dad. Before they departed, Mike assured me that he could sneak the gifts into the cart without Tanner knowing. He was wrong. As soon as Tanner saw the green garbage truck on the Target shelf, he decided he could not leave the store without that truck! Mike tried his very best to distract him, but Tanner would not lose his focus. He had his radar set on the green garbage truck! So guess what he got for his birthday, despite the fact that he already owned two green garbage trucks......

A GREEN GARBAGE TRUCK!

And he couldn't be happier.

Well, later that same day, Mike took Tanner to Toys R Us to find a special train set that Grandma and Grandpa P* sent some money for. Guess what Tanner spied.... a green garbage truck. And history repeated itself.

And that is how Tanner came to own four green garbage trucks.

This just cracks me up! I am sure that, with his love of garbage trucks, each one of the four green trucks looks very different and has its own specialness about it. :) And don't forget to tell everyone that he has a sixth sense for the sound of a garbage truck, and once he hears one, he darts out the door to see it! I just love that. I love you, Tanner!! Happy 4th Birthday big guy!

As long as he's happy and he actually plays with them, right?!!! It seems like we have so many toys the kids wanted and then they never play with them.
