Me - Tanner, who is Satan?
Tanner - Satan is a girl.
Me - No, Satan is a man. He didn't want to follow God's plan.
Tanner, laughed at my ridiculous response then emphasized his knowlege - No! Satan is a girl!

Last week when our whole family was at the Young Womens and Young Mens basketball practice at the church, Tanner kept coming up to me and saying, "I need a girl." I would ask why and he'd say, "To chase me."

We left Tanner, Jordan, and Josh at the church when we took Kyle to the ER. Our friend, the Young Men's president, explained to Tanner what happened to Kyle. After a pause, Tanner responded, "Ok....Will you chase me?"

A nice older couple from the ward brought us dinner tonight. The man knocked on the door as his wife carried the food from the car. Tanner answered the door, took one look at the man, and asked, "Are you my new Grandpa?"
As I type these quotes, I wonder if they aren't as funny as I thought they were. I wonder if I think Tanner is so funny because after his haircut he looks quite similar to this guy.

I can cut hair, but I won't do it if my boys fight me. Mike will put up with a fight, but he can't really cut hair that well. Tanner hates haircuts. Enough said, but that's why I could do a photo gallery of his bad haircuts. But I won't because I feel bad for him, and Mike. I really need to just suck it up and pay for a decent hair cut!

Those are funny! He's such a cool kid!
Those quotes are funny!! I love the things children say. You never know what's going to come out of their mouth.
TANNER IS FUNNY! Thanks for sharing those. I can't wait to tell people the "devil is a girl." I am sure I could find a few men who agree.
And don't forget the time the babysitters came over and Mike asked the boys to introduce themselves. Kyle said "I'm Kyle", and Tanner said (with a strait face) "I'm Jordan." Life is never dull with that kid around.
You are right--Tanner is hilarious! And that is so funny how you compared his haircut to Jim Carey's. I never would have thought that, but now that you mention it, I can see the resemblance. :) Love you, Tanner!!
I have a little book of my kids and grandkids quotes and I love reading them. Too bad, I have recorded only a small number but it's great to have. Start writing them down you'll cherish them for years to come.
How old is he? Those are so funny!
Tanner entertains me through your blog. Thanks for sharing.
I love the "new grandpa" one!!
