some of my finds

Maybe some of you haven't done the garage sale thing. You may wonder, how much can you find from other's junk? Well, I have found a lot. When I look around my house, there are lots of things from garage sales that we use every day. The twin's room and Josh's room are the only rooms decorated in our house. But if I just look in there, I find a lot of things I have bought from garage sales. Here are a few:

frame and hooks in K and J's room

chest of drawers
book holder that holds their library books

mirror in Josh's room

changing table
white frame
black frame and white teddy bear
I have bought a whole bunch of toys from garage sales. Really, after seeing how many toys are at garage sales, I have a hard time paying full price for any toy. Here are some in our bonus room, or play room:

chalk/white board

My niece miss Emily loves this one!

toy box that has held up under a lot of stress!

Remember this one Angela?

I could keep going - books, baby clothes, baby supplies, movies, scrapbook material, jewelry, etc. , but that's enough. I do have to mention this awesome mirror that I am going to hang up in our formal living room or dining room. I just love it.

Anyway, if you haven't tried garage saleing before, just try it. Remember to check out the rich neighborhoods! But be careful. You may become addicted.

p.s. I did find a handful of things yesterday morning. I will use them. I ended up spending $5.

I'm with you, Audra. I have found many things at garage sales, I love them. But now we are in the stage of life where we are getting rid of things ourselves....baby crib anyone?

i love that changing table. did it come black or did you paint it to match josh's awesome room? :)

You should call it 'treasure hunting' instead of garage-saleing!

I totally understand because I feel the same way about thrift stores.

Leslie, we painted it black. And when I say "we", I mean Mike. :) It actually matched the chest of drawers I bought for Kyle and Jordan's room that I posted.

One man's junk, another man's treasure. You really know how to make them into treasures. Way to Go!!! I also love how you say "WE"
I am always saying," Did "WE" get the garbage out" etc, etc, and Morris smiles and says, " Yes, "WE"
Took care of it. LOL
