we have quiet time,
reading or drawing
BUT, I am going to try harder to make them happen. I am going to look at my mothering as a job. I've been inspired by many of your blogs and your ideas of how to teach kids. If I had a paying job, I'd finish my resposibilities well. I'd also look forward to my time off, which Mike has happily agreed to make that happen for me as a mother. So, I'm actually excited about what I am going to teach my kids this summer, "real life lessons" I call them. It has been met with resistance at first, but the whining has lessened and I think they understand that I am only trying to help them out, help them become successful and functional citizens in society. They are starting to enjoy applying what they've learned in school in real life situations.
I'm excited about this! I have a lot I can teach them! And my first great break from Mike is visiting Biltmore Estate this weekend with my sisters. That's right, sister[S]. Abbi is here! For good! Now, I can work hard as a mother for a break like that!

Your chair looks awesome!!! I'm so glad you got it.
Excellent idea! Those boys are so fortunate to have you as their mother!
Ditto about your new chair! It looks perfect.
PS Have fun this weekend! I will be thinking about you all up there in Ashville. I think you are going to love the visit to the Biltmore. It's quite the place.
Again Audra you have totally impressed the heck out of me. You are such a wonderful mom to those boys, what a great way to look at mothering.
