like my mother

Went to Six Flags Amusement Park yesterday. And Mom, as a little girl, I always wondered why you wouldn't ride the big old roller coasters. "Come on!" I thought.

I get it now.

After about three quarters of our day, I started feeling like I was in my first trimester of my pregnancies. Nauseous, dizzy, tired, sick, achy body. I thought, "I paid to do this?" And I wondered, "What happened to my pre-baby, go on as many roller coasters as you want, body?" Oh yeah, I had babies. The rest of the boys were running from ride to ride (no lines yesterday :)). Luckily, after a few "You go and I'll wave to you" rides, I bounced back and was ready to face the baby rides with Tanner. It was a great family outing (minus Joshie - thank you Abbi!), and not only did I learn that I'm such a mom now, I learned that the best activities for our family are high adventure, run till we're ragged activities. No time for whining, no time for fighting, just go go go! That's the best for my boys, including my big boy. As for me, the only girl in the bunch, it may not be my number one preference for fun, but at least I'll burn a few calories.

I still have not been to 6 flags even after living here 6 years. I make hubby take the boys.

I hope I'm not like that. It's been years and years since I've been on a roller-coaster and I remember loving them. But, I have been pregnant five times so I have to imagine that it's messed up my equilibrium, too. Darn.

It's not pregnancies that do it, it's just growing older. Anything like the tilt a whirl can make me hurl. I remember so vividly looking at all the "grown-up's" wondering how they could just sit there and visit instead of jumping and running and spinning round and round. I said, "I'm never going to waste life like that" silly me

I just had the exact same experience when we went to an amusement park. And even when I was teaching Elle how to roll down a SMALL hill, I layed there at the bottom womdering why anyone would ever choose to do that. I'm blaming age and pregnancy! It sucks.
