excellent questions

I don't like politics. Let me rephrase that. I hate politics. Not until just recently have I come to terms with, like it or not, I need to face the issues, become educated, and take a stand for what I believe to be right.

I'm learning.

And as I learn I try to teach my boys (it also helps that they are learning about our nation's government in school right now). After reading some Time magazine articles this morning about Ted Kennedy's life, I gave Kyle and Jordan a very brief history of the Kennedy family. I said that Ted Kennedy had served many years in the Senate helping to make many laws in our country, but he has also recently died. Kyle asked some very excellent questions about the Senator.

Kyle - "Was he wise?" and "Were the laws he made good?"

Well, what would you say? We have some great research and great discussion ahead of us!

Do not-- and I repeat-- DO NOT get David started on Ted Kennedy. :)

Sounds like it! When we had the elections Frank was able to find a wonderful piece on each canidate through either NPR or PBS. I can't remember, but he let the boys see each side. We had a divided house. It was fun to discuss with them. Great Job!

I think perhaps David and I might have the same perspective on Ted Kennedy. I will say one thing. Was he President? did I miss something? America's Royality can do no wrong. Why was our Flags here in Utah half mass. He wasn't our Senatator.
