"The Friend" magazine is for children and is published monthly by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You can also find it online here. It is a wonderful magazine with real life stories that help us parents teach our children the gospel.
Jordan is in the August 2009 issue with President Monson, the Prophet, on the cover.
He is in the section "Trying to Be Like Jesus" where kids share their own experiences.
He was so proud. So was his mama. If you haven't ever seen this magazine, check it out. It is seriously so wonderful for teaching your children about Jesus.

I read the Friend to the kids the day it came and noticed he was in there. The kids thought that was pretty cool to see someone we know. Was he so excited?

That's awesome. The friend comes to our house but I don't think it gets read much. So I'll have to point that out to the kids.

So Cool! When we lived in UT our neighbor took the pictures for the church magazines. Before we moved away she took our picture that showed up on the 1st presidency message in the Ensign about 6 months later. We use to see people we knew in the magazine all the time and we still see a few of them now and then!

Very good! And I like the artist's rendition of Jordan. Jordan is the first one I've ever known personally who's made it inside the Friend.
