on the boat

So let's forget about my other trips for now and just get to the cruise. I can't stand to wait and bear with me guys as I relive one of my very best vacations in my entire {almost thirty year old} life. But before I bombard you with all our vacation photos, I must say thank you to the woman who made this all possible - my mama. Mom, I can't thank you enough for taking care of and loving my boys while we were gone. I will always be grateful for your sacrifice. And Dad, my boys really missed you. They were very sad to hear you weren't able to come down also. Maybe next time? :)

ON THE BOAT

You know it's all you can eat on the boat, right? I did eat all I could. That reason alone is good enough for me to book a cruise. Just look, I'm in love with the food.

Wait, no, I'm just getting ready to attack it.

I'm so sorry. I should not have posted that graphic and scary photo. Tone it down a bit, Audra, and look more civilized. I can if I try, though I'm still hunched over my food like a jealous animal over her kill.

Stop judging me. You'd do the same if you had this warm chocolate melting cake every night. It's wicked good.

And having the option of asking for two lobster tails isn't bad either.

Dining with Jessi and Dave every night was definitely a high light of the cruise. Thanks guys for your company, and thank you for eating as much as Mike and I did. That would have been plain awkard if you were light eaters.
And you know that they have a fancy schmancy night, right? That's when I pulled out my big reds and was maybe the tallest woman on the boat.

In all honesty, I don't love the fancy night. I can wear those babies for about one hour, then they have to come off. And being dressed up is uncomfortable. I had to suck my stomache in big time in the picture above so I don't look pregnant. But the sore feet and the sore stomach muscles were worth it cause we got a good ten year anniversary photo of us. I like this one. Thank you, you cruise photographer, cause our family never does the dressed-up-nice-in-a-studio family picture. Doesn't go well with the boys, but I've always wanted a nicer picture of Mike and I.

I also like this photo that Jessi took. Thanks Jess!

Don't worry about this photo. I'm just a sucker for the gimmicks those cruise photographers use to make us spend money. Throw a sombrero hat on me, snap the pic, and I'll pluck the dollars down to buy it. Mike is still shaking his head about it.

Ok, on to the relaxation on the boat. That's nice too. And whenever I heard a baby cry, I thought, "That's not my baby." And I continued to veg in the sun.

Next up - the excursions. And at the rate I've been blogging, we can get through this cruise maybe by next year.

You are one lucky beautiful girl! That red dress suits you so fine! I've never been on a cruise before but I sure would love to. Maybe some day. And you can give me hints as to what is good etc. And you're very blessed to have a mom who is available to come out and watch the kids for you! How fun for them!

Maybe I'll go on a cruise just for the food.
