Oh, I have been in the mood for a good romance movie or book! My mom has recommended the movie North and South and I am so excited to get a hold of it and watch it! Ever since I was a little girl, I have absolutely loved romances! I am a little picky about romantic movies, but if I like it, I can watch it over and over and over again. Recommend an action film and I will watch it once and that's it, but I never tire of those love stories. Here is a list of my favorite romance movies or books. Some of them may not be categorized as a romance movie or book, but I love the romance in them.

BOOKS
*The Country Gentleman by Fiona Hill
* Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
*These is My Words by Nancy Turner (my all time favorite!)
*Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
*Persuasion by Jane Austen
MOVIES
*Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken
*Phantom of the Opera
*Pride and Prejudice
*Sense and Sensibility
*Mansfield Park
*Cold Mountain
*The Road Home
*The Notebook
*Sleeping Beauty
*Ever After
*While You Were Sleeping
*Lonesome Dove
*Counte of Monte Cristo
*Lord of the Rings
*Sabrina
*Sound of Music
TV SERIES
*The Office on NBC
*The Wonder Years

Am I forgetting any? Does anybody recommend others that I haven't listed? I could always use a good love story!

I thought I'd let you know that I recommended "These Is My Words" for our latest bookclub reading, and one of the members came to me today and said, "I LOVED "These Is My Words", but it took me about 2 hours to read the last chapter because I kept crying and then putting the book down, then going back to the book, then crying and putting the book down.... You aren't the only one who got a little upset at the ending!

so many fabulous romances on your list - all my favorites are there, that is for sure! I did think of some more movies - Somewhere In Time, Sound of Music, You've Got Mail, Slipper and the Rose, Kate & Leopold, Sabrina and A Town Like Alice - nothing is as powerful as the escapism of a good romance!

Natalie, I am so glad you reminded me about these others! I need to add Sabrina and Sound of Music to the list. I haven't seen the others you listed and I am excited to check them out! Thanks!

I just finished re-reading "Persuasion" by Jane Austen. It definitely has to be on the list!
