Ok, crazy things first. See my boys and mother-in-law in the water? Take a good look at where they are. See the fishermen on the pier? They were yelling something to my family in the water. I could hear them clearly from the shore, but Mike couldn't hear from the water. "Get out of the water! There's a shark! Get out of the water!" My family just stood there and stared at the fishermen wondering what they were yelling. Yes, I started to get a little concerned when Mike wouldn't get out of the water with my boys! What are the chances he gets bit, I know, but you don't want to play that game! Anyway, he finally heard what they were saying and got out of the water.
Seconds after they were out, we saw the shark swimming in the shallow water, pretty darn close to where Mike was trying to fish. Can't see it? Try the next picture. Truly, it was a shark!
From then on, Mike tried to catch the shark from the beach with his little Shrek pole. :)
And hold your horses John. The Shamu picture is not impressive in any way.

Certainly Mike is not afraid of a shark. Why didn't he just grab it with his bare hand and snap its neck. After all, he is a snake hunter.
As far as the Shamu picture . . . I am holding the horses but they are pawing the ground and chomping at the bit.

I think you are right, John. I think Mike could totally hear the fishermen. He just thought he could take the shark by himself, or catch it with his handy dandy Shrek pole.
And Angela, you are right! We have so many adventures with wildlife! We love it!

Oh my, Audra! I would have been freaking out! I'm sure you were! Did you head in to the water to tell them what was going on? It's a good thing there were people fishing on the pier!
Well, I guess I won't be going in the ocean when I go to Florida next week!!! That is horrible. Thank goodness they got out of there.
