When I say he has two rods in his leg, this is what I am talking about. The rods help align the bones and keep them in place as he heals. They will eventually come out (I think after 4 months). Some of you have asked how I am doing through this ordeal. I think seeing your child in extreme pain, and I mean EXTREME pain, and not being able to do a thing about it has to be ranked high on the list of hardest things a mother could experience. I wouldn't recommend it on my worst enemy.
I am also very tired.
But we have been the recipients of some of the most wonderful service. I tear up thinking about how much everybody has done for us. I am so grateful and I pray that someday soon I will be able to serve as valiently as our friends have served us.

I'm glad your nearby friends are taking care of you. I can't imagine how you must feel. Wish I could do more to help.

Audra, he is so strong. Your boys are all so strong!! I am so sorry this happened! Your boys are known for all of their injuries huh? It is because they are tough little cookies! I Hope he heals fast and feels better soon! Send him our love!!! And you our love too! I love you tons and I wish I could help you out! Yes, in a few years, you will be able to serve. Right now, just keep being grateful for the service everyone has provided you with. You deserve it! I love you tons!
Be sure and take good care of you, too! I hope you get a long, well-deserved nap on Tuesday! It seems like you were juggling 4 balls, and now you get to juggle another 2 or 3. Lucky you are superwoman and can do it!
And thanks to everyone who is helping you!!! We appreciate it!
